August and September

In August Oma and cousin Nalani came to visit for two weeks. We had so much fun showing them a good time. Then the kids started school, and before we knew it, they were already on a three-week break. During this time, the girls entered a kids entrepreneur contest at the mall. They made soaps and salts and did pretty good working their very own store. They even took credit cards and calculated transactions. We were so proud of them.

While the leaves changed colors, we spent many days going on adventures and exploring parts of Utah we don't get to see very often. Manuel had a health scare and ended up in the emergency room early one morning. We threw an end-of-summer party which is our new tradition since we no longer celebrate Halloween. Cambrey's best friend moved to Kansas. Gabe advanced in scouts, we discovered a new pizza place that's amazing, and we attended the Layton City Fire Station Open House. We finally got around to taking our family pictures, and we can truthfully say it was an eventful two months!
