Life was meant to be lived unfiltered
Welcome to my blog!
I am so excited to have this space where I can connect with amazing people just like yourself. Feel free to comment anytime - I love hearing from you!

I started this blog for three reasons:
Reason #1
Pretty simple. Manuel's family lives in Germany so this is how we keep them updated on our life and also the reason why we started our vlog.
Reason #2

As women, we are daily bombarded with huge to-do lists, and the never ending needs of our beautiful, sweet families - not to mention the crazy news headlines and frustrating politics - sometimes it can be enough to stress us, depress us and overwhelm us before the day has even begun. In addition to that we often can't help but compare ourselves to all the amazing women we encounter in our own neighborhoods and on Social Media! Sometimes, it can leave us feeling this unrealistic urge to be more like Superwoman.

Life gets crazy, busy and I don't know about you, but at the end of the day I always feel like I need that extra little boost of positive encouragement - something to remind me that I can make it though another day with a smile on my face. I want to laugh, dream, hope, and have things to look forward to - it's what keeps me going.

This blog is going to be that encouragement! I hope it inspires, motivates and helps you realize that just being yourself is better than trying to be superwoman! There are more women like you than you know.
Reason #3
Being an author, writer, blogger, vlogger, entrepreneur, inventor, coach, speaker, stay-at-home mom, and really just the girl next door - I thought about how many women in my own life have often told me that I am the superwoman they compare themselves to. "If they only knew", I have thought to myself time and time again.
One day I was inspired to write a book about it titled Successful Failures. I wanted everyone to know the truth about my life - in hopes it would make them realize I really am just the girl next door.
My book was published in 2012, but the message didn't end there. Since publishing Successful Failures , I have felt an obligation to continue sharing the message that it's okay to not be the best at everything; it's okay to fail at some things and it's perfectly okay to just be yourself!
I'll be sharing fun ideas, humorous stories, and touching moments but at the same time you'll get to see the behind the scenes stuff. That means behind every delicious recipe is a terribly messy kitchen, and behind every pretty picture shared, is a child somewhere in the house causing mayhem. You will hear all about it!

If I can touch just one person through sharing my own personal experiences with life (completely unedited and unscripted) then starting this blog will have been worth it.

I'd love to hear from you and I hope you'll visit often :)
